On July 17, the fourth central guidance group visited the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) to conduct a survey and discussion on "comprehensively addressing irrational competition in the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry," and exchanged views with leaders from BAIC, BYD, and the association. Che Jun, the group leader, emphasized that addressing irrational competition is crucial to the national economy and people's livelihood. It must be guided by the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping, with special rectification regarded as a political responsibility. We should adhere to a problem-oriented approach and the rule of law thinking, improve policies, regulations, and standard systems, establish a normalized governance mechanism, urge leading enterprises to compete rationally in compliance with laws and regulations, and strengthen self-discipline within industry associations. Zhang Yunming, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), presided over the meeting, with representatives from relevant departments and enterprises attending.
